Cristina Echeverri, executive director of AG Studios, is a lawyer and is in charge of leading all the back office needed for audiovisual production. She has been in the company for four years and has 14 years of experience in the sector.
“We solve the doubts that the client may have, of what can and cannot be done in Colombia. We deal with contracts, legislation, work visas, and other related issues. We are respectful of the law and what we want is to ensure that everything is carried out correctly,” says Echeverri.
In the nine years that AG Studios has been running, it has not had any legal problems, thanks to the fact that its work plans are always preventive, anticipating any risk factor so that production can develop in the best possible way.
“Perhaps what most worries foreigners are the commercial exploitation of their projects, the copyright, the number of hours they can work on set, the permits to shoot. Once the doubts are solved and seeing our experience they feel calmer when working with us. Another of my duties is to make sure that everything is fulfilled according to the rules, minimize risks, review locations, have the permits of the case and permanent legal advice.”
