During its 2019 Upfront presentation, Univision announced top urban music artist and businessman Daddy Yankee will join its highly anticipated new music competition Reina de la Canción (Queen of Song), as executive producer.
“It’s an honor to be executive producer of this show,” said Daddy Yankee. “As I step into this role, I look forward to find the next big female star, the next Reina. I look forward to the challenge of putting my vision to work on producing an incredible show alongside the Univision production team. Together, we will create an authentic and entertaining experience for the audience, each Sunday night.”

Produced by Univision Studios, Reina de la Canción will feature the following chart-topping artists and Latin music industry experts to musically develop and mentor young women who will be competing to become the next Latin music superstar: Multi-faceted artist Pedro Capó will co-host and serve as the Artistic Director of the competition; producer, musician and composer Sergio George will serve as musical director; judges will include Urban and Latin pop sensation Natti Natasha, regional Mexican star, singer songwriter Joss Favela and iconic, timeless tropical superstar, Olga Tañón.
