Telefilms: Having a strong Hollywood product and our own is a very big multiplying factor

The creation of the production company THR3 Media Group –whose partners are Bruce Boren, Ricardo Costianovsky, and Tomás Darcyl, from Grupo Telefilms— was recently announced.
The first project is the series El Santo, on the mythical wrestling character, but the production company is already working on at least three projects.
“THR3 Media Group was a very natural thing. We think that Bruce is a top executive and wanted him to be a member of our board of directors. We got together in Buenos Aires and speaking, we realized both of us wanted to set up a big production company in Mexico and in less than two days, we were talking about being partners,” commented Darcyl.
He added that both for him and for Ricardo it is a new world and that producing for such changing world positions the company differently. “The combination of having a strong Hollywood product and having our own is a very big multiplier.”
The director pointed out that now they are aiming to Mexico and Brazil very much. In Mexico, they are producing three additional films, aside from Me Gusta Pero Me Asusta. They are also working in Colombia and analyzing the possibility of doing something in Spain.
Darcyl plans to continue working in the industry much longer. “As long as I vibe with this and have people like Ricardo nearby, who is a person I completely trust; and now Bruce, along with the team I have, everything is just fine. You meet good people and it is a very nice and attractive business.”
