TOKU premieres the fantasy Yuri television anime series Yamibou this summer. TOKU is the only 24/7 television network dedicated to eye catching anime, popular live action titles and cult classics from Asia dubbed into English, also available On Demand.Starting July 19th, the fascinating 13-episode TV series, based on the Japanese adult visual novel Yami to Boshi to Hon no Tabibito (Darkness, the Hat, and the Travelers of the Books), will air every Tuesday at 10pm EST on TOKUs HD Network, with English subtitles. The episodes will also be available on VOD in August. The story follows the magical voyages of Hatsuki, a gorgeous, tall, dark-haired brooding high-school girl who develops what she knows is an unsuitable kind of platonic love for her adopted older sister, Hatsumi. But on the stroke of midnight on Hatsumis 16th birthday, she is suddenly surrounded by a green light and vanishes in front of Hatsuki. Unexpectedly, the series heroine is deeply saddened by her beloved sisters disappearance.Soon thereafter, she manages to follow Hatsumi helped by a being resembling a fat baby chick (literally), ending up in a place called The Great Library, a repository containing all of the worlds in the universe within books. The missing girl isnt there, though, so the search for Hatsukis great love continues and involves traveling from book to book, across enchanted worlds and dimensions, along with the librarys guardian.TOKU is available on AT&T U-Verse (channel 1484) as well as On Demand through Comcast Xfinity, Charter Communications and Optimum.
