Nuevo Directorio WAWA

Worldwide Audiovisual Women Association (WAWA) has been growing since its foundation with women who have a vision of the future of the industry. With more than 400 partner women from different regions of the world, the founding Directory held a meeting in the recent MIPTV announcing the new Directory.

“The time has come to take our Association -a proudly non-profit organization to the next level,” commented the founding members of WAWA, Liliam Hernández, and Cecilia Gómez de la Torre.

“Along with an extraordinary networking opportunity, we want this to also serve to give employment opportunities, to do business among ourselves, grow in innovation topics, using all the technological tools available today. To be able to continue growing, we need leading women who can be part of the WAWA Directory,” they added.

Roxana Rotundo participated in the meeting as an integral and essential part to lead all these changes. The addition of important industry executives with a renowned path from different countries in this new and international directory was confirmed: Liliam Hernández, Cecilia Gómez de la Torre, Roxana Rotundo, Maria Bonaria Fois, Ana Cecilia Alvarado, Susana Umbert, Offra Elmkies, Emilia Nuccio, María Elena Paniza, Karina Martínez, María Elena Useche, Vanessa Velázquez, as well as Blanca Ponce and Analida López, who were acknowledged with the WAWA Woman of the Year Award, in 2018 and 2019, respectively.

The new directory will collaborate with innovative and creative ideas that enable the generation of specific actions for growth and business encouragement, as well as activities that help promote the role of women in the industry.
