In 1999, as the twentieth century was ending, the Ad Age staff reviewed all the ways that advertising had entertained, moved and motivated the public in recent years, selecting the 100 best campaigns of the century in a special issue to celebrate their creativity and impact.In the past 15 years, advertising, marketing and media have experienced incredible shocks such as digital media and interactivity, trends that have changed the dynamics of the field. Now, Advertising Age has updated this list, announcing the 15 best advertising campaigns of the century.Several of the winning pieces classified for changing the way consumers think about the world around them. Also, these productions are a great example of solid and perfectly executed marketing ideas. Among the selected campaigns are: Campaign for real beauty of Dove, The hire of BMW Films and The man your man could smell like of Old Spice.Among the judges for choosing pieces, the participation of Sergio Alcocer, president of LatinWorks was highlighted, the only Hispanic on the selection panel.Meanwhile, Greg Hahn, CCO of BBDO New York, and part of the jury, said: “In this list you can see what these executions have in common.
