The Latino population in America is growing rapidly, and today it is becoming increasingly apparent. A report published by the Center for Immigration Studies (Emerge) found that nearly half of school-age children in California speak a language other than English at home, like a third of the residents of Texas and Nevada, according to a report based on numbers from the Census Bureau.The research shows that a fifth of people in the US speak a foreign language at home, with Arabic and Urdu (the national language of Pakistan) the fastest growing languages. Among other data, it was found that Hispanic children age 17 or less constitute 23% of the US population, with a likely increase by 39% over the next 10 years. Furthermore, 65% of Hispanics 22-35 years in the US are millennials, with an economic influence projected to grow over US $3 billion by 2027.Currently, 1 in 5 teens are Hispanic, according to the Selig Center for Economic Growth. The adolescents population is expected to grow 62% compared with 10% growth in the number of teenagers in general for 2020.
