Enrique Vargas, The Film House (TFH)’s partner and founder and Marlo Baker, executive producer, talked to PRODU about the latest news of the producer, after five years of having expanded their offer by hiring a versatile roster of directors for the US Hispanic market.“As a founder, I am very proud of the team we have and I am very optimistic when of our future. These recent years, we have grown as a producer, with an interesting group of directors working for important clients such as Bud Light, T-Mobile, Miami Marlins, among others,” Vargas commented.Baker joined the team six months ago, and according to Vargas, she brought a great talent and experience to TFH. “We were lucky to hire Marlo. Her arrival has added a lot to the company,” he said. From Baker’s, there is a lot of competition and good directors in the producing companies, which have the challenge to work with low budgets. “These are much more modest than those of the general market, and it obliges directors of our market to offer creative ideas and being able to renew the creative team’s enthusiasm of the agency,” she said.Baker states that each director has to offer something different to the company. “The important thing is not having many directors but that each one makes things differently to avoid competition among them,” she said. When describing the TFH’s roster, Baker indicated they have directors capable of working on both markets, they also have a food director, another expert in cars, comedy, dialogues and a celebrity expert. “The days of classic directors and dinosaurs are about to end. We need directors capable of renewing constantly,” she ended.
