Univision confirms extension of Randy Falco’s contract as CEO

The biggest media in Spanish holding of the USA, Univision Communications (UCI) announced it has extended the work contract of its president and executive director, Randy Falco, for two additional years.Under his leadership, the UCI has transformed into a multimedia company with 16 cable and digital net retransmissions; 61 television stations; 67 radio stations; a wide variety of online and mobile applications and products; and content creation facilities in Miami, New York and Los Angeles. “The company has significantly increased its income and accelerated its transformation from a niche broadcasting net to a multimedia center, with platforms in the entire spectrum of traditional means of communications and the new ones which attract the variety of Hipanic audiences in the USA, such as no other media company can” said Haim Saban, president of UCI.Thanks to Falco’s work and vision, the company has boosted the audiences’ commitment and interaction through a broad array of new platforms and through innovative associations, the launching of new nets centered on sports, telenovelas, news and strategic investments.”Since he assumed the leadership role in 2011, Randy has successfully guided Univision through a period of growth and exceptional innovation, to skillfully sail in an unprecedented climate of change of the industry and positioning of the company for the future,” ended Saban.
