Los Artistas, an original idea by María Dueñas, in co-production with Isla Audiovisual (Spain) for ViX+, is one of 360 Powwow’s most recent projects. “It is a very ambitious and winning production,” said Adrián Santucho, Chief Creative Officer of the company.

Another upcoming project is a docuseries with a very famous singer and actress that 360 Powwow will follow in her quest to form her dance troupe for a new world tour. “We will also soon present a disturbing documentary about the story of two crimes perpetrated a few years ago. The approach is very attractive and different from anything is seen yet, since one of the crimes is a murder, but the other is ecological,” said Santucho, adding that they are still very active in children’s and youth projects of live-action and animation and that soon they will be announcing two new adult fiction projects with platforms.

“Our industry, at this time when the world is trying to return to normal, has a great opportunity and is experiencing a rarely seen boom in creativity and production. A new playing field has been consolidated with platforms as the main protagonists. We are very proud of being part of this production boom,” he pointed out.

For Santucho telling authentic, deeply local stories that at the same time could have a global interest is the challenge that the industry faces.

“The market in our territories is experiencing a growth that entails an unprecedented learning process for producers, directors, and writers. The challenge is to live up to these changes and manage to promote the new talents that will be born and will develop without precedents or established work models prior to the platforms and the pandemic. These new talents claim great creative freedom and are very keen to succeed in telling their stories. The executives of my generation are responsible for making this meeting of cultures and generations possible,” he expressed.

Regarding the technological innovations in production introduced in the last year, he referred to the tools that help to automate processes. “They are of great help and a totally different way of sharing information, unifying and streamlining processes, not only the internal and production ones, but also in communication with customers,” he said.

The great lesson he has learned from the US Hispanic market has been the creation of multicultural and diverse workgroups. “Today this is being applied much more in Latin America,” he pointed out.
