Colombian writer Juan Camilo Ferrand is working on an eight-episode premium short series, a mix of a thriller with action and the crime genre, based on the book Hasta Que la Vida nos Separe, by journalist Gustavo Reyes, written in response to the murder of two priests in Bogotá in 2011.

The series, Dos Padres Nuestros, already has "the bible" ready: synopsis, description of characters, general and chapters arguments. “We are putting together a graphic package to go to market and find the perfect partner for a project like this. We have advanced conversations with a couple of studios, but we still haven't decided anything until we have all the options on the table and choose the best for the project,” he explained.

Ferrand's purpose is to be the executive producer and showrunner of the project. "For which I've partnered with two boutique production companies, one in Colombia, David Corredor's Candelaria Films, and another in Los Angeles, Jason Gurvitz's GreenDog Films."

The synopsis revolves around two priests who hire two strangers to kill them. A specialized team from the Prosecutor's Office must connect the dots and analyze the evidence to decipher a truth that no one suspected.

“It is a tragic story, but at the same time Macondian, featuring those situations that only happen in Colombia and go far beyond a murder. I also set myself a personal challenge which is to give it a unique narrative treatment. On the one hand, I have the story of the priests, on the other that of the murderers, and also that of the team of the Colombian Prosecutor's Office. It is a compelling story, very appealing to the targeted audience that enjoys that the series goes beyond entertainment,” he pointed out.
