Discovery Networks: We launched new HGTV channel with contents related with the home

Discovery Latin America/US Hispanic launched HGTV, that joins its offer of lifestyle brands with the incorporation of HGTV, that offers content related with the home. 

“The arrival of HGTV to Latin America consolidates our lifestyle portfolio in the region. Discovery Home & Health continues leading this category at a panregional level, which proves the affinity of followers of our content. Our lifestyle content offer has proven to be very attractive for fans, distributors and advertisers. Last year, we incorporated Food Network to the portfolio and since then, its distribution grew more than 30% and the audience increased 50%. This reaffirms our strong bet to continue expanding with new proposals both in linear and in digital platforms," stated Fernando Medin, president of DLA/USH.

In the US, HGTV is a well-known brand in the top 10 of the pay TV ranking. The arrival of HGTV to the region, as a result of the acquisition of Scripps Networks Interactive by Discovery, Inc., complements the offer of DLA/USH´s lifestyle brands that includes Discovery Home & Health, TLC and Food Network.

Some of the programs of the new channel are: Competencia en el Mercado, Nuestro Hogar Frente al Lago, Carpas Hawaianas, Piscinas Asombrosas, La Búsqueda del Diseñador Estrella and Hogares de Lujo, among others.
