Facebook Watch increases by 80% its audience in 2019

Facebook announced that the amount of people who visit their platform every month increased to more than 720 million, which means 80% more than what they reported in December (400 million).
Additionally, the company pointed out that the average user time also increased by 30% and is set at 26 minutes. And they assured that 140 million people every day spend at least one minute on Facebook Watch.
Huda Boss, Five Points, Sacred Lies and Sorry For Your Loss are some of the original productions Facebook is betting on in order to gradually gain visitors and be able to compete with the big players, such as YouTube. Sports events are also a key point. They proved this with the acquisition of the broadcasting rights of the Conmebol Libertadores between 2019-2022.
Facebook assured they will continue partnering with companies to broadcast more and more relevant content for users, along with investment in their own original productions.
