Fremantle main offerings in MIPTV for Latin America and the US Hispanic are the series Anna (6×60 ‘), Reyka (8×60′), and Cargo (8×60 ‘), and the documentary Arctic Drift.

“We want to be the main source for Latin America and the US Hispanic platforms who are searching for premium content, record formats, and trend-setting co-productions. Over the past two years, thanks to our Mexican production office, our relationship with Latinx indie The Immigrant, and our affiliation with the production company Fabula, we have raised the bar for Spanish content, and our plan is to continue to do so. The sky is the limit,” commented Sheila Aguirre, Fremantle’s EVP of Distribution for Latin America and International.

For Aguirre so far this has been an unprecedented year. “The SVOD platforms that are being deployed in the territory are trying new things in both scripted and unscripted genres. We’ve seen a growing appetite for Nordic noir in addition to true crime. I have a feeling that we may also be at the beginning of a trend for new cooking shows and lifestyle series. In addition, we are focused on meeting the demand for Latinx content together with our partners The Immigrant and Fabula. The appetite for content in the region has never been stronger, as 2021 is offering new energy, new opportunities, and a lot of optimism,” she concluded.
