New forums give impression you arrived in Hollywood

Grupo Salinas and TV Azteca “pushed the boat out” in the inauguration of Azteca Estudios in 2012 (called at the time Azteca Novelas) and PRODU was there to report it. AThe event began with a red carpet on which international guests and talent from TV Azteca paraded. Ricardo Salinas Pliego, founder, and president of Grupo Salinas gave a speech in which he presented the studios as the most modern in the region. A few days before he had told PRODU: “The new forums give the impression that you have arrived in Hollywood”.
In the event, between lighting effects and fireworks he gave a speech on the stage in which he pointed out that the competition would not be due to having more TV networks, but because of quality content and multiplatform productions. He defended privatization and gave the example of TV Azteca: He said that when it was a public entity (at the time, 19 years had gone by, and now, 28 have passed), it generated losses and then had become a huge pride: “These forums are a commitment to the dream to become the best Spanish-speaking television network worldwide”.
