Tsunun: Finished productions and projects with human and global values

MIP Cancún was the first market in which Tsunun presented its catalog. The purpose was to “offer stories that both entertain and invite to take action and commitment and are focused on human and global values. We are building our catalog under these guidelines; we continue adding feature films, documentaries, and projects that talk about sustainability, displacement and social inclusion, nature, immigration, marginality, culturization, and minorities,” pointed out the founder of Tsunun, Valeria Nardecchia, who has more than 20 years of experience in the entertainment industry.
They also presented projects to co-produce, including the fiction Hombre Bala, a black comedy on a family that tries to trespass the border from Mexico to the US in a peculiar and fun way. Several documentaries are being presented as well: Bodies, on the effect of the use of copper in the contraceptive IUD; Guardianes: Relatos de Resistencia, representatives of the Huichol community (Mexico), visit other indigenous groups in the country to discuss current-day problems and the preservation of their ancestral culture; and Ciudades del Futuro, about real possibilities of creating sustainable cities.
From the film catalog, there are Huicholes, awarded with 12 international prizes; Camino a la Paz, with the Argentinean actor Rodrigo de la Serna; Siguiente Round, recently launched in cinemas in Ecuador; Tango de una Noche de Verano, on friendship and acceptance between diverse cultures; and Equilibrium, life and concert of the Italian Giovanni Allevi, contemporary classical music artist.
