In the current entertainment scenario, ViacomCBS stands out as the only media company that entirely covers each segment of the streaming universe: free, free, premium, and pay. This comment was delivered by Bob Bakish, president and CEO of ViacomCBS, when starting his presentation at the online ViacomCBS Streaming Event offered to investors on Wednesday, where they provided details of the new Paramount + service that is launched on March 4 in the US, Canada, and Latin America.

The event was open by Shari Redstone, Chair of the ViacomCBS, who indicated that the company today is entirely different from the one his father saw. The presentation was made from the Paramount studios.

“The launch of Paramount + overfeeds our strategy with a vast payment service that will host everything consumers adore in a single place: live sports, breaking news, and a mountain of large-scale entertainment. Looking at the future, ViacomCBS is in an ideal position to tap into the power of our assets and capabilities, from our studios and world-class production capabilities and the value of our massive content library to our global marketing platform and local relations, to tap into the global opportunity on streaming,” expressed Bakish.

Paramount + will include more than 50 original series -of which 36 will come out this year- in the next two years. It will offer scripted dramas, children’s and family, reality, comedy, music, sports, news, and documentaries.
