Javier Nir, Pablo Fischerman, Martîn Levy and Fede Ruso are the members of the Argentinean group of Directors, The Paisanos; represented by Cortez Brothers for the U.S. Hispanic and general market. One of their goals for this year is to continue growing and expand in the market.
“Each one began directing in different ways and moments of their own lives” they say. “The idea of being all together is more the result of being a work group. We gradually became part of all the projects in an organic way. We realized that regardless of who got a project, the brand, the stamp of the work group was always there. Thus, it only took us one step to understand that we were a team that could take care of any project, regardless of its size.”
The group is characterized by the talent each one contributes. “We offer an aesthetics and natural film. Above all, we provide clients the certainty that they can rest assured that the project is thought by four creative heads and not just one” they add. They are organized in such a way that each project has one captain guiding its course and the rest complementing the needs according to each role.
The four filmmakers confess that telling stories are their obsession. “We try to understand what we want to tell; do our best for the characters living in our films; protecting them from cinema tools and trying to connect with our viewers.”
They believe the market trend for 2017 will be “the need of human pieces, that approach viewers with professionalism and perfection in their execution.”
They have developed great pieces together with Ogilvy Argentina, TBWA, Soho Square, Young & Rubicam, and big international brands. “the artistic inspirations moves and have to do with each particular project. We do not have an inspiration box. We try to think outside the box, scripts are precisely guides for us. The challenge for our collective work is based on connecting with the viewers. Music, cinema, photography, life, are our sources of inspiration.”
