Tierra Indomable

Azteca America announces the premiere of the acclaimed Italian television series Tierra Indomable (Terra Ribelle), a story of love and adventure starring Humberto Zurita, Anna Favella, Fabrizio Bucci, and Rodrigo Guirao Díaz. Tierra Indomable tells the story of two lifelong friends whose friendship will be put to the test when both men fall passionately in love with the same woman. Tierra Indomable premieres Monday, February 16 at 10pm/9pm Central on Azteca America. Set in Tuscany in the second half of the 19th Century during the period of Italian unification, Tierra Indomable tells the story of Andrea and Jacopo, two childhood friends who have grown up together. Both men share a passion for adventure and a fascination with the untamed wilderness of their homeland, which they idealize with a nationalistic fervor typical of the era. Though they come from different backgrounds, their friendship binds them together, but fate will test their friendship when they fall in love with the same woman. Count Giardini, a Florentine nobleman facing bankruptcy, is desperate for a solution to his financial problems and decides to arrange a marriage between his daughter Luisa and Jacopo. But Jacopo has fallen in love at first sight with Luisa’s younger sister Elena, whose heart belongs to Andrea, Jacopo’s friend. After a heated argument, Jacopo kills his father in front of Andrea and Luisa. Jacopo devises a plan: he will marry Luisa if she is willing to help frame Andrea, his friend and rival, for the killing of Jacopo’s father. Andrea will have to flee, becoming a fugitive from the law as he tries to gather enough evidence to prove his innocence. Filmed entirely in South America and directed by Cinzia Torrini and Ambrogio Lo Giudice, Tierra Indomable stars well-known Mexican actor Humberto Zurita, Italian actors Anna Favella and Fabrizio Bucci, and Argentine actors Rodrigo Guirao Díaz, Sabrina Garciarena, Fabián Mazzei, and Jorge D’Elía.
