Discovery: The aim of the partnership with Batanga is to tell our clients’ stories in a relevant way

Discovery Networks Latin America/U.S. Hispanic recently signed a commercial agreement with Batanga Media, through which Discovery represents the digital company in advertising sales in the pan-regional market from Miami and in the Colombian market.The partnership will focus on the integration of brands through the creation of joint videos and articles that Batanga Media will distribute throughout social platforms like Facebook and on their websites.“On television, nobody knows how to tell stories like Discovery, but we needed a partner that could give us digital upscale and audiences and Batanga Media is excellent for that because their properties are aligned both with the content based on real life that distinguishes Discovery Channel, as well as with Discovery Home & Health. The aim is to tell our clients´stories in a relevant way for the audience,” told Iván Bargueiras, Executive VP of Advertising Sales, Discovery Networks Latin America/U.S. Hispanic.According to the executive, for advertisers this agreement represents a database that allows to see what really works with target audiences or whoever they are trying to reach.“It is not simply ‘I want to reach 18-34 year-old men’, but how you talk to them, what they really like to share and comment. That is the information we have together with Batanga Media, and it is much more than banners and pre-roll video, it is content integration,” he explained.
