Fox Sports México: Uniting Latin America, Brazil and the U.S. Hispanic Market through Central Fox

This past February 15th, Fox Sports México unveiled its new look, with a new logo for Latin America, and two new newscasts: La Última Palabra and Central Fox. The latter combines the most important newscasts the channel has in the U.S. Hispanic, Mexico and Argentina, consolidating the brand in the region.“In 2010 in South Africa, we closed one of our 24-hour signals and turned it into Fox Sports Central. In collaboration with the U.S. teams, we developed the idea of creating a single brand to represent our news from the U.S. to Brazil. That’s how Central Fox came into being, featuring five daily newscasts produced in Argentina, Brazil and Mexico,” said Fausto Ceballos, VP of Production of Fox Sports México.Central Fox, which premiered on March 20th with a noon and a 3pm edition, is followed by the creation of La Última Palabra, a news space produced in response to viewer requests on social media. “We launched a campaign in which we asked viewers to tell us what they liked and suggest areas for improvement. They asked us for a primetime show where soccer celebrities would address the audience from a different perspective,” added Ceballos. The show will air Mondays through Sundays at 11pm.Fox Sports Mexico also introduced the new channel commentators: Daniel “El Ruso” Brailovsky, José Luis Sánchez Sola and Manuel Lapuente.
