With a strategic view of the present and future of content, Mónica Albuquerque, Senior VP of Scripted Content and Development at NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises, shared her perspective on the evolution of the industry and the importance of creating spaces where the different market players can come together. Speaking with PRODU, she highlighted the value of Content Americas as a key opportunity to meet, exchange viewpoints, and deepen development and production strategies.
During the interview, Albuquerque revealed that Telemundo continues to work on a diverse portfolio that includes movies, short- and long-form series, and content specifically designed for vertical formats. Along that path, she underscored the company’s bet on biblical stories, a niche that is generating strong interest and growth within the digital ecosystem, particularly among specific audiences.
She also confirmed that the company is preparing to shoot its first Hispanic Christmas movie, adding new scripted offerings to its catalog. At the same time, Telemundo remains closely aligned with the World Cup, aiming to further expand its reach, build audience loyalty, and connect with new viewers at both the regional and international levels.
