TelevisaUnivision held its 2025 Upfront under the concept Incontenible

At Televisa San Ángel, TelevisaUnivision held its 2025 Upfront under the concept Incontenible, gathering over 350 advertisers to present its content offering for the coming year. Emilio Azcárraga, Executive Chairman of Grupo Televisa, opened the event, emphasizing the importance of cutting-edge technology and relevant content.

Patricia Molina, TelevisaUnivision’s VP of Sales, highlighted the company’s embrace of challenges such as audience fragmentation and the fight for attention. She stressed their commitment to creating content that resonates across age groups and cultures and announced that in 2025, more precise multiplatform measurements will be implemented to maximize advertising strategy effectiveness.

On the topic of audience measurement, she revealed that they are collaborating with industry efforts to develop integrated multiplatform measurements by 2025, meeting brand needs and reflecting real video consumption trends in the country.

Molina also outlined the company’s strategy based on three pillars: relevant content, cutting-edge technology, and a seamless user experience. She mentioned their commitment to pioneering all forms of video, from niche to mass-appeal content, and using advanced tools like augmented reality and artificial intelligence to deliver cross-media, immersive experiences.

ViX, the company’s leading platform for Spanish-speaking audiences, saw a 60% increase in hours consumed over the past year. Molina emphasized their investment in digital platforms to meet the demands of an increasingly connected audience, focusing on an omnichannel approach to reach all generations on their preferred formats and devices.

Emilio Azcárraga Jean introduced Daniel Alegre as the new CEO of TelevisaUnivision. Alegre noted, “TelevisaUnivision is unique. The world has changed, the landscape has evolved, and we have evolved too. But one thing hasn’t changed: people want unique content, and we offer the best, most entertaining, and unparalleled content in the world.”

2025 CONTENT OFFERINGS

The event featured the announcement of the third edition of La Casa de los Famosos México and new telenovelas to reinforce the company’s leadership. Iconic shows like El Chavo and El Chapulín Colorado will return to Las Estrellas and now also to ViX. Additionally, the best soccer coverage will be available, including the rights to 15 of the 18 top teams in ViX, the Women’s League, the Club World Cup, and coverage of the Mexican National Team leading to the 2026 World Cup.

NFL coverage will also be exclusive to open TV and ViX, featuring regular season games, playoffs, and Super Bowl LIX. Televisa’s boxing events, including Canelo fights, and comprehensive news coverage through N+ are also part of the offering.

TELEVISAUNIVISION’S 2024 ACHIEVEMENTS

This year, the company remained the most-watched media outlet, with La Casa de los Famosos setting records: +213 million votes (+60%) and 412 million hours consumed on ViX (+73%). Key alliances with the NFL and coverage of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games were also highlighted. The most-watched telenovelas included El Maleficio, Marea de Pasiones, and La Historia de Juana. The N+ news division boasts the highest viewership in Mexico and has earned international recognition.

In total, seven out of ten people consume TelevisaUnivision content weekly, and the company reaches 57 million unique video users monthly, according to Comscore.

The night ended with a concert by Bruno Mars, who performed his hits for over an hour.
