Jorge Gutiérrez, director of International Sales, TV Azteca, said that they are returning to the US market. “A market that we left a little over 5 years ago and now we have the opportunity to return, reconquer, and present the channels and the possibility of splitting them into FAST (Free Ad-supported Streaming TV) channels which are now required and requested by the industry,” he explained.

He referred to two channels that he believes will be strong and with very attractive content for the US: Corazón, of telenovelas, and Cinema, of Mexican films.

“The telenovela continues to be the most requested genre in the world and our Mexican film channel, Cinema, which has a precious catalog of restored films. This is a catalog that we are going to make available to this entire market and I am sure that Corazón and Cinema will be bringing buzz in the coming months, starting in January 2023”, highlighted Gutiérrez.

He said that in addition to the channels, TV Azteca’s offer in the US includes an application that they are managing for all of Latin America and that they will soon launch in Mexico. “So the package of solutions and the content based on channels grows exponentially, and I think that this is going to be a great surprise for all the operations on the platforms, the smart TVs, and all the clients that we left behind and that now we return knock on their doors again” he said.

Regarding the way to deliver the signal in the territory, he added that at the moment it is by satellite. “But we are already exploring ways to be able to deliver over IP, which is also part of the evolution of the industry and I am sure that the platforms that request our services now, we have a practical solution in order to deliver it to them,” he said.
