Voxx Studios: We see an enormous growth potential in video games and FAST channels

Steen Ingmann to lead the mission of positioning the studio as a potential and trusted partner for the industry

This year, Voxx Studios opened its international division to drive the expansion of the dubbing company, appointing Steen Ingmann to lead the mission of positioning the studio as a potential and trusted partner for the industry.

Ingmann is leading Voxx Studios’ efforts to expand its operations in all markets outside of the Americas, thanks to his extensive business development, production, and sales background at companies such as Audio Resort, KM Studio, and Plint.

“My main objective is to ensure and position Voxx Studios as a trusted dubbing partner for our clients and partners internationally, thus contributing to it becoming a preferred partner of the entertainment industry worldwide,” commented the executive.

Growth areas in voiceover are diverse and include formats ranging from audiobooks and podcasts to video games and the metaverse. In all of them, Ingmann sees possibilities for Voxx Studios and, in markets such as Scandinavia, the Netherlands, Germany, Japan, Canada, and the US, a high potential for profitability.

“These services are part of our portfolio of multimedia elements that we offer and produce, either in-house in Los Angeles or through our partner studios worldwide. I see enormous growth potential, especially in video games. Podcasts and audiobooks also have growth potential but on a smaller scale. Another interesting area is FAST TV channels, which are increasingly relevant to many of our clients,” he explained.

Ingmann underlined the importance of working now with artificial intelligence, which can be used in different phases of the dubbing process, “thus guaranteeing more agile and efficient production at all times.”

The challenge of selling dubbing services for an industry in transformation, believes Ingmann, must continue to be addressed through contact and a personalized approach with clients. “An important part is listening instead of talking too much. Creating a relationship of trust with customers and partners is the success of sales. And, of course, knowing the art of dubbing and its production process also helps.”
