Univision Digital, announced the launch of CNCO Evolution, a new web series that tells the story of how the winners from La Banda are dealing with their newfound success and how they prepared for the launch of their first album, Primera Cita. The six-episode series presented by Walmart, premieres today on LaBandaOficial.com.

CNCO Evolution reveals the story of Christopher, Zabdiel, Erick, Richard and Joel, whose dreams were transformed into a reality when they got the chance to embark on a musical career with the support of La Banda season one producers Simon Cowell and Ricky Martin. Their diverse backgrounds – from Ecuador, the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Cuba, and one of Mexican descent who grew up in California– have had a strong influence on their music careers and play an important role in their unique styles.

The digital series presented by Walmart, gives fans an inside look at their extraordinary road with behind the scenes videos from New York City performances. There will also be a special episode dedicated to how CNCO celebrates the holidays with their families. It takes a look at their traditions and the overall importance that family plays in their journey as winners of La Banda.

La Banda fans can look forward to engaging with their favorite Latin boy band across multiple platforms with the launch of CNCO Evolution, which tells the compelling story of the lives of the five young men whose talent and perseverance has captured the attention of young music enthusiasts all over the world,” said Emilio Aliaga, VP, Digital Content, Univision.

Season two of La Banda, the music-based reality-competition developed by Univision Network, SYCO Entertainment and Saban Brands, airs live on Sundays at 8 p.m. ET/PT (7 p.m. CT). The show features global superstar Laura Pausini, Mario Domm, the award winning star who founded the Mexican pop rock group, Camila and popular Urban music artist Wisin.
