Disney LatAm announces new incorporations: Guillermo Tabanera absorbs Carlos Martínez´ responsabilities

The Walt Disney Company Latin America announced it has incorporated panregional roles through the designation of executives from 21CF, ESPN and Disney. Likewise, it announced that Media Networks operations at a regional scope will be grouped in Guillermo Tabanera.

Effective immediately and reporting to Diego Lerner, president, TWDC Latin America, the new members of the managerial team are:

Santiago De Cárolis, General Manager, National Geographic Latin America. His responsibilities include leading the business, and the programming and content strategy of the three linear channels (Nat Geo, National Geographic Wild and Nat Geo Kids), as well as collaborating in local productions, marketing, digital, live events and consumption products. He is joining the team from Fox Networks Group.

Gonzalo Fiure, leader of General Entertainment, DTCI Latin America, responsible for the programming and content strategies for brands, linear channels, and platforms of the pillars of General Entertainment, has 23 years of experience, 16 in Fox.

Katia Quintanilla, leader of Ad Sales, DTCI Latin America, with 17 years at Disney, is now responsible for developing and driving the commercial strategies related with ad sales of the company´s entire portfolio in the region (Out-of-Home, In-Home, Experiences and Promotions).

Tabanera is now General Manager, Media Networks, DTCI Latin America. By mutual agreement, Carlos Martínez, who until now was General Manager, Media Networks for North and Brazil, ceases his functions and is no longer in the company. The Walt Disney Company informed that it wishes him luck in his future endeavors.

Tabanera ´s reponsibilities include affiliate sales for all the channels the company operates (Family & Kids, General Entertainment and Sports), as well as the execution of all the sports business operations in the region, including collaboration in related productions in Latin America.

“Observing the daily dynamic, I continue closely supervising how we are performing, willing to make any adjustment in the structure that could turn out to be necessary to ensure our success in this deep transformation process of the company,” shared Lerner.
