Endemol Shine Boomdog signs an overall development deal with Kate Del Castillo and her Cholawood Productions team

Endemol Shine Boomdog has signed an overall development deal with actress and producer Kate Del Castillo and her Cholawood Productions team, it was announced today by Alejandro Rincón, CEO, Endemol Shine Boomdog.
Del Castillo, known globally for her leading role in the hit series La Reina del Sur, will both produce and star in projects that will be jointly developed between Endemol Shine Boomdog and Cholawood Productions.
Del Castillo, along with her partners, veteran Latin entertainment industry executive Carmen Cervantes and journalist Jessica Maldonado, lead Cholawood Productions, which will be housed at Endemol Shine’s Los Angeles offices.
The two sides are currently exploring scripted and unscripted development opportunities in both English and Spanish. Flavio Morales, Endemol Shine Latino’s Los Angeles-based EVP, U.S. Initiatives, will oversee all programming efforts with Del Castillo and the Cholawood team.
“We are thrilled to be developing content with Kate and her team that she can both produce and star in. We already have some very promising projects that we will be bringing to the marketplace in the near future,” says Rincón.
