FOXTelecolombia and RCN´s Celia premiered with 2.38 million Total Viewers and 926K Adults 18-49 on Telemundo

Last Tuesday night’s premiere of Telemundo’s new drama series Celia (80×60´) reached a cumulative audience of 2,375,000 Total Viewers and 926,000 Adults 18-49, according to Nielsen. Inspired by the life of Celia Cruz, the series debut averaged 1,802,000 Total Viewers and 690,000 Adults 18-49. Locally, the premiere ranked as the #1 program in its time period, regardless of language in Miami, among total viewers and Adults 18-49, and also ranked as the #1 Spanish-language program in its time period, among total viewers and Adults 18-49 in New York.The second episode of Celia increased +30% (898,000 vs. 690,000) among Adults 18-49 and +16% among Total Viewers (2,093,000 vs. 1,802,000) versus premiere, according to Nielsen. In a first-ever for Telemundo, the initial three episodes of Celia were made available on digital platforms prior to the linear premiere. On Facebook, the first episode gathered a total of 993,238 views, while Video on Demand and Telemundo Now resulted in over 177,000 views with the first three episodes. On social media, promotion for the premiere reached 2.3 million global Facebook users.Celia is a production of FOXTelecolombia and RCN licensed to Telemundo. The series was directed by Víctor Mallarino and Liliana Bocanegra, with Nelson Martínez as executive producer and a screenplay based on a script by Andrés Salgado and Paul Rodríguez.
