International Seminar on Innovation for Content Creation will be held on April 3rd at University of Miami

The event will be held at The Bill Cosford Cinema in the School of Communication of UM from 8am to 3pm

The first International Seminar on Innovation for Content Creation will take place on April 3rd at the University of Miami. The event will bring together experts from the entertainment industry to discuss the rapidly-changing landscapes within the music, film, television, tech and media realms – and how constant creativity and solid content creation is key to success in those fields. Hosted by the Center for Innovation and Creativity Media (CIC Media) and The Media Office (TMO), the event aims to teach participants tools to help facilitate content creation in a global, multi-platform world. It will be held at The Bill Cosford Cinema in the School of Communication on the campus of the University of Miami from 8am to 3pm. Some of the topics to be discussed include the importance of innovation in the entertainment industry, the meaning of creativity, its process and rules, as well as recent advances in audiovisual content creation. The International Seminar on Innovation for Content Creation is sponsored by Telemundo Internacional, A&E, History Channel, E! Entertainment Television, Cisneros Media, and Wikot.The seminar will enjoy the contribution of several US and international guest speakers who will provide insights into the entertainment industry, including: Ligiah Villalobos, a well-known independent writer/producer, she has worked on the NBC show ED and the hit Nick Jr. series, Go, Diego! Go! She has also been involved with projects for ABC Family, NBC, Lifetime, and the Disney Channel. Eric Foster White, former president of EMI Music, is a Grammy-nominated songwriter, record producer, musician, technologist and entrepreneur. Peter Langenberg, VP of Business Management for Warner Bros. International Television Production, and is a television format expert who led the roll-out of the Big Brother format across the world. César Coletti, VP of Marketing of The History Channel and H2 for Latin America and Brazil. The seminar will be conducted by Marlon Quintero, head of CIC Media. Quintero is a television producer and content creator who over the past 20 years he has been involved and led projects for Warner Bros, Sony Pictures Television, Univision, Cisneros Media, Nickelodeon, Televisa and MTV, among others.
