Luis Silberwasser new President of the Telemundo network

Luis Silberwasser, has been named President of the Telemundo network, starting in August. He will report to Joe Uva, Chairman, Hispanic Enterprises and Content, NBCUniversal, and will be based in Miami.In his new role, Silberwasser will have overall responsibility for the Telemundo broadcast network, including Telemundo Studios. He will develop and execute the Spanish language network’s entertainment, sports and news growth strategy with a focus on increased market share and profitability.Most recently, Silberwasser was Executive VP and Chief Content Officer for Discovery Networks International (DNI), based in London. Previously, he served as VP Senior, Content Group for Discovery Networks Latin America/US Hispanic. In addition, has held leadership positions in marketing, sales and business development within Discovery’s international division.
