Ladrones de mar de Sabbatical Brasil para A+E Networks

Sabbatical Produções Audiovisuais Brasil, a subsidiary of Sabbatical Entertainment, has just completed its first production, the series of capsules Ladrones del mar (Ladrões do Mar, 8×3′) for History of A+E Networks Brazil.

“History asked us for content about Vikings, stories about wars, weapons, symbols, culture, and women. These eight three-minute capsules, titled Ladrones del Mar (Thieves of the Sea) will premiere in June on History LatAm. The content is certified by Ancine as a national product,” commented Miguel Somoza, CEO of Sabbatical Entertainment.

Somoza added that the series “represents one of the many varied options of high-level premium content that Sabbatical Produções Audiovisuais offers at an efficient and attractive cost.” He indicated that the main idea of the company in Brazil has always been to provide quality options that help cover the national production quota and that satisfy the needs of consumers and channels.

“To back up the launch of the Vikings series in History and History 2, we were looking for content that would help the audience learn more about these people and better understand their importance within the story. Ladrões do Mar was the proposal presented by Sabbatical that fulfilled what we were looking for in more documentary content, in all aspects: creativity, information, production quality and all this with the benefit of complying with the local quota. In this way, we managed to create an extremely strong territory around this series where fiction was mixed with history”, expressed Raúl Costa Junior, general manager of A+E Networks Brazil.
