Artex Productions, a Miami-based full-service video agency, was recently recognized for its exemplary work during the American Advertising Federation Fourth District’s ADDY Awards. Each year, the AAF’s Fourth District honors excellence in advertising and cultivate the highest creative standards in the industry. The 58th AAF Fourth District American Advertising Awards Gala occurred on May 4 at the B Resort and Spa in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. Artex Productions was recognized with a Charlie Award, one of the highest honors showcasing the best in a particular category, in the online video category for its Celebrity Edge campaign, which was produced on behalf of the agency’s client, Celebrity Cruises. In this campaign, the agency was tasked with conceptualizing and executing a video campaign made up of cinematic, storytelling-driven featurettes announcing their new class of ships, the EDGE class. Artex was also recognized with four prestigious Gold awards recognizing their achievements in film craft for cinematography and animation for the same campaign. “With so many entries every year, it can be a challenge to select one winner in the online video category, but it was clear that Artex Productions took this challenge from their client very seriously” stated Mike Weber, Chair of this year’s ADDY Awards and District Governor. “Using cinematic and 3D renderings of the new class of ships, Artex Productions also produced interviews and b-roll that supported the story and eventually resulted in a video that resembled a high-end documentary. The ADDYs recognize talented professionals in all facets of the industry, and the caliber of work coming out of the Fourth District is some of the most impactful and creative content that I’ve seen in years”. “Our goal was to create a beautiful experience for viewers, paralleling to that of being on Celebrity Edge itself” said Tim Warren, Chief Creative Officer, Artex Productions. “The creativity and passion behind the two year filming process was a true representation of our client’s labor of love, and we are very pleased and honored with this recognition.”
