Bonsai3 sets The game rules for ESPN

La campaña se transmite por todos los canales de ESPN

What is the distance between the bow and the arrow? What is the height of the Beach Volley net? What is the world record in weightlifting? Bonsai3 agency answered these questions and others using 28 educational capsules about the Olympic sports. This initiative was developed for ESPN under the campaign Las reglas del juego (The game’s rules) for the 2016 Rio Games broadcast. “One of the challenges was to solve in an iconic and simple way how to explain an Olympic sport that has many facets, using simple and entertaining figures” explained to PRODU, Luciano Machi, Designer and Entertainer. The agency was responsible for research, writing, design, animation and sound of the 28 educational capsules. “Another challenging element was the research process: what year the Olympic sport began, which are the main rules, and summarize all this material in 30 seconds, and also finding some didactic and entertaining examples” said Alvaro Krupkin, Client Services director at the agency. “We had to find an esthetic and type of animations that could cover all the different types of sports” said Federico Fabiano, Designer and Entertainer. The initiative included versions in Spanish, English and Portuguese, it began on October 2015 and each piece was approved by the International Olympic Committee. “We’ve been working with ESPN for a long time and we have a very good relationship. They gave us a lot of freedom to work and when you work with so much time and with a good relationship client-provider optimum results are achieved” Krupkin said.
