For Isabel Rafferty, CEO of Canela Media, it is an honor to receive a Rising Star Recognition in the 2019 edition of the Culture Marketing Council: The Voice of Hispanic Marketing (CMC). “I’ve devoted my career to finding more effective ways of engaging the Latino community. I’m looking forward to many more years of innovating in the multicultural technology industry with Canela Media, where we help brands create meaningful digital experiences for a multicultural demographic,” she said. For multicultural companies looking to grow, the cultivation of young professionals is key. “They bring energy and a perspective that allows companies to stay on top of the latest technologies,” Rafferty added. “Plus, one of the segments in which companies are most eager to advertise is the Millennial multicultural audience. No one knows that audience better than the young professionals who are part of it.” She advises young creatives ambitious to have outstanding careers in the industry to take risks and diversify their skill sets. “Seek new experiences in and out of your comfort zone. Use the benefits of being young to help advance your career. Your energy, determination and willingness to adapt and push the limits are important qualities that will help you excel.” The prize to be awarded in a ceremony on Tuesday, June 11, honors young leaders age 35 and under who are already making an impact on the industry.
