Daniel Marcet of FIAP: We will soon announce the participation of a renowned music celebrity

One of the chief novelties at the 2014 Ibero-American Advertising Festival, or FIAP, is the incorporation of a new category – Independent Creativity on Social Networks – the first that will award prizes for pieces that were not created for commercial purposes, but which are cutting-edge means of communication. “Up to now, no advertising festival has honored the creativity that users of social networks apply day after day, and which is an endless source of inspiration for advertising creatives,” said Daniel Marcet, CEO of the festival.People will be able to compete in this new category who are not communications professionals.The executive also announced that among the speakers confirmed for this year’s FIAP, which will again partner AHAA and the Circulo Creativo, are Olivier Francois, global CMO of Chrysler; Rui Porto, CMO of Havaianas; James Ortiz, CMO for the U.S. Army; Jane Gould, CMO of Viacom; and Jamie Moldafsky, CMO at Wells Fargo.Also on hand will be Nico Pimentel, cofounder and director of innovation at + Castro, and Papon Ricciarelli, CEO of DON, who will share their vision of the advertising and entertainment universe in today’s environment.“We’re expecting the confirmation of several stars of international advertising, and we will soon announce the participation of a renowned music celebrity, whose foundation does so much good” Marcet said.
