eMarketer: By 2015 nearly 85% of US companies will use Facebook for marketing purposes

2015 seems to be a great year for social networks. This time, eMarketer estimated that nearly 85% of US companies with 100 or more employees will use Facebook for marketing purposes, and a little less than two-thirds will use Twitter.According to the research conducted in 2014 by Percolate, corporations that use one or both of the platforms have different strategies or plans to distribute their content. It was also found that Marketing executives in the USA were more likely to say that their companies create content for Twitter in just a few hours. However, the second most common preparation time fell into the other extreme: 16% prepare Twitter content for one month or more in advance. The latter group may be planning content to social platforms as part of a global long-term campaign, instead of treating it as a daily activity known as marketing On-the-fly. Interestingly, the percentage of those planning their tweets just one day before is 7%.Facebook on the other hand, operates at a less real time. Marketing executives were more likely to plan the content for the social platform with a month or more in advance (25% of respondents). Preparing Facebook content between two and five days ahead of time ranked second, with 17%; and like Twitter, respondents were less likely to plan a day earlier, only 9%.
