Juan Carlos Ortíz launches his book Shorts and a half on U.S. market

9 de marzo de 2014

Following the resounding success of his literary work Cortos, Juan Carlos Ortiz, president of DDB Latina, spoke with PRODU about the launch on the U.S. market of his second book, Cortos y 1/2, now also in English as Shorts and a half, and how it has the same peculiarity as Cortos, since it was also written by the ad man at an altitude of 30,000 feet during his multiple business trips.“I had written the book for my family because I wanted to write down all the anecdotes that it has been my good fortune to experience, and it’s been a hit. The goal wasn’t for it to be a success, just a success with my family, but it was a success in sales as well, and it completely sold out” he said.Shorts and a half was previously launched worldwide in August 2013 with great success, and now the second version of the book is available, both in English and in Spanish. The launch kicked off at Books & Books in Coral Gables, where among those attending were family and friends of the executive, and featured an emotional introduction by his 10-year-old son Matias.“I’m very excited about launching Shorts and a half in the U.S., since the idea is to sell it on the general market. We have the two versions in both languages and they will be available for everyone who wants to read them” Ortiz said.Cortos y 1/2 and Shorts and a half are expected to be also available on Amazon sometime next month.
