After his company produced all the music for Mira Quien Baila (Look Who’s Dancing) on Univision, the music and audio postproduction for Yo Me Llamo (My Name Is) on Telemundo, and after it created the theme music and sound design for the FOX network worldwide and for the new Mundo FOX channel, and then did the music for the 2012 World Soccer Master Tour at Sun Life Stadium in Miami, Juan Carlos Varela, director of La Pirada LatAm, gave PRODU a roundup of the achievements scored this year and broke the news about projects coming up in 2013.“We come from setting up a new studio last May in Miami’s Greenwich Studios television production center and opening our New York office in June to get even closer to the general market. We’ve grown thanks to the support of our clients and the great work of our creative and technical team,” the director said.He also said that La Pirada has received requests for musical productions from Uzbekistan, Georgia, Angola and Kazakhstan.As for Latin America, he said the studio has consolidated its role in the musical production and dubbing of commercials for top brands like Unilever, Colgate Palmolive, Procter & Gamble, Coca Cola, Avon, Claro and more.In addition, he noted that “Central America and especially Panama have been calling on us constantly over the past few months to do musical soundtracks for advertising, which led us to decide on founding La Pirada Central America, with its main studio in Panama,” Varela said.
