DeWalt: Cincuenta años es un hito para cualquier organización

Kevin Dewalt, CEO and Producer at Minds Eye Entertainment and Former President of the International Quorum of Motion Picture Producers (IQ) talked to PRODU about how proud he feels about the network’s anniversary. “Fifty years is a milestone for any organization, especially one that is financed by its own members” he said. All of them will be meeting in Miami to celebrate their annual conference at the Baltimore Hotel in late September. “I have been a member of IQ for 30 years. Being a member is like having an extension of each of our businesses in over 40 countries representing every continent in the world. It is like having 40 business partners who you can trust like family” Dewalt explained. “IQ inspires me to get better at what I do as a film maker. The quality of IQ members and their work is outstanding. I feel fortunate to be a member of such a prestigious organization.” Dewalt was President of IQ from 2007 to 2010. During his tenure the membership grew by 50% and included new companies that did other forms of media. “Today the focus of the organization must be to bring in new members who are creating content in innovative platforms such as internet, virtual reality, gaming and new presentation formats” he declared. One of his more recent projects was producing Forsaken. “The film was a co-production between IQ members. It was shot in Canada and had a budget of US$12 million and Universal will release the film worldwide on June 20th” he explained. Dewalt shared {exclusive pictures;http://www.produ.com/publicidad/galerias/index.html?ID=1252} of the shooting.
