Brandariz and Vasallo inaugurated Plaza Galicia in Miami and a new Road to Santiago

Galician Americans José Manuel Brandariz of Beverly Hills Entertainment, and Carlos Vasallo of América TV, inaugurated Plaza Galicia in the heart of the famous Calle Ocho in Southwest Miami, joined by city commissioner Joe Carollo and other members of the Galician community.
Designed by Brandariz and Vasallo, Plaza Galicia offers a glimpse of Galician heritage in the heart of Miami. Two prominent monuments stand within the plaza. The first is a cruzeiro, a traditional Galician cross symbolizing faith and believed to ward off evil spirits. The other, a monolith, marks the starting point of a unique pilgrimage route – the New Road to Santiago for pilgrims in the Americas. This route stretches 6,645 kilometers from Miami to Santiago de Compostela in Spain.
Brandariz is president of the Association of Galician Businessmen of the US and the Galician Forever Brotherhood.
Vasallo also spoke to PRODU EN VIVO about their plans to establish Galicia Day in Miami within the next three months. The event could see the presence of Galician political figures like Alberto Núñez Feijóo and Alfonso Rueda.
Beyond Brandariz and Vasallo, other prominent Galician figures were mentioned with ties to the entertainment industry. These include Julio Fernández, a force behind Filmax, a production company with a 70-year history. Also noteworthy is Olegario Vázquez Raña, who has built a successful career in Mexico. His holdings include the Imagen communication group, the Camino Real hotel chain, and Ángeles hospitals.
