Cadenatres: 2015 will be a defining year with big projects

In line with its strategy of featuring Latin American content in its programming, as well as original productions -as it currently does with Amor Sin Reserva, in co-production with Corazón TV-, Eric Reid, Executive Producer of Fiction of Cadenatres, told PRODU 2015 would be a year of important decisions in terms of content and investment, given that Grupo Imagen is one of the three players in the bidding for the two new broadcast networks in Mexico.“The first half of 2015 will bring big decisions and investment in projects, because the group has grown and is now part of the bidding process for the two national networks. Grupo Imagen is one of the players. As Cadenatres we will have more original programming, in line with our mixed strategy, where we also place acquired content, thus bringing the audience the best of TV from Mexico and Latin America,” said Reid.He also said there is an evolution towards shorter formats in specific schedules and for specific audiences, where “there is a place for the renewed contemporary telenovela. For prime time we’ve further developed the teleseries format because audiences continue to crave cinematic experiences on TV. As content creators we need to satisfy that ambition and offer more complete experiences.”Reid emphasized themes like drug trafficking “should be tackled within fiction, because major social issues need fiction to help us process them.”
