CNN en Español to air special coverage of the Republican and Democratic national conventions

CNN en Español will be airing special coverage of the Rebuclican National Convention to be held in Tampa, Florida. Hosted by network anchors Juan Carlos Lopez, Fernando del Rincon and Carlos Montero, the coverage will run between August 27 and 30. From September 3 until September 6, CNN en Español will also cover the Democratic National Convention that will take place in Charlotte, North Carolina. The special will be hosted by Juan Carlos Lopez, Patricia Janiot and Lucia Navarro. The multiplatform reporter Gustavo Valdes will report live from the conventions, and his colleague Kay Guerrero will be present to catch the reactions of the young people and students. Throughout the coverage, both democrats and republicans will give their respective speeches. On Tuesday August 28, the network will begin with a speech by Chris Christie, the governor of New Jersey. On Thursday, August 29, the CNN en Español will air the live speech by Republican vice president candidate Paul Ryan at 9pm. Thursday August 30, senator Marco Rubio will give a speech introducing Mitt Romney, who will then give his own speech live. On Wednesday September 5, the network will air a live speech by the former president Bill Clinton, who will present president Barack Obama as the democratic nominee. On Thursday September 6, Obama’s speech will be transmitted live at 9pm.
