Comcast introduces its first multiplatform Hispanic Film Festival to Xfinity digital customers

The multiplatform Hispanic Film Festival features 20 Spanish-language award-winning and independent films

In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, Comcast is offering its first-ever multiplatform Hispanic Film Festival, featuring 20 Spanish-language award-winning and independent films from Latin America and Spain on Xfinity On Demand and Xfinity.com/latinotv. The offering is available for free to Xfinity digital video customers beginning September 15th and runs through October 15th.”We assembled this collection of highly acclaimed films to give Hispanic customers even more relevant choices to enjoy on XfinityTV, all available for free to view whenever and however they want. Comcast is dedicated to serving the Hispanic community with superior content and tailored programming on multiple platforms,” saysMarcien Jenckes, SVP and general manager of Video Services for Comcast. In addition to the Hispanic Film Festival movie offering, customers also will be able to watch specials that highlight the people, landscape, cuisine and music of Latin America – including features on some of the top Hispanic entertainers from around the world. Comcast Hispanic Heritage Month programming highlights includes: The Hispanic Film Festival with the following films from HBO Latino, ViendoMovies, Cine Latino Cine Mexicano and Gran Cine: Contracorriente (Mexico); Cuando Me Toque a Mi (Ecuador); Desierto Adentro (Mexico); Desierto Sur (Chile); Dos abrazos (Mexico); La edad de la peseta (Cuba/Spain); La Señal, (Argentina); Ley de Herodes, (Mexico); Malos Hábitos, (Mexico); Mariposa Negra (Peru); Matar a Todos, (Uruguay); Otilia Rauda/La Mujer del Pueblo (Mexico); Sexo por Compasión, (Mexico/Spain); Sofia (Mexico); Sólo Quiero Caminar (Spain); Soñar No Cuesta Nada (Colombia); Territorio Comanche (Spain); Trópico de Sangre (Dominican Republic); Un franco,14 Pesetas (Spain); and Zurdo (Mexico) among others titles.
