Juan Carlos Sosa appointed executive VP of Operations of Venevision Studios, heading two new production lines

PRODU spoke with Jonathan Blum, president of Cisneros Media, who explained in more detail the role of Juan Carlos Sosa as executive VP of Operations of Venevision Studios.With the Grupo Cisneros restructuring into three business units -Cisneros Media, Cisneros Interactive and Cisneros Real Estate,- Venevision Productions, Venevision International Productions and Venevision Studios became part of Cisneros Media. Sosa reports directly to Blum.Peter Tinoco, former head of these divisions, has been training Sosa over the past five months. The transition finally came to fruition this Monday. Were creating a more dynamic structure, said Blum.Sosa is leading the creation of two new production lines.Weve been successful in producing drama, a genre we will continue to produce along with new ones. Two of these new genres are teleseries and productions for digital screens. Being part of the Cisneros umbrella, were exploiting the 360º platform, offering both our audience and our advertisers the ability to watch this content on different screens, added Blum.He pointed out Los Secretos De Lucía is part of this new production line, which involved production from studios in Venezuela and Miami.Juan Carlos Sosa joined the Telecommunications division of Cisneros in 1994, and since 2011 worked as VP of Marketing and Business Development for the Cisneros Organization. He has been involved in different projects in the areas of innovation, transformation, and new product development.
