Billy Rovzar, producer and CEO of Lemon Studios, announced that they sold Matando Cabos 2 to Amazon Prime, so it will be released on that screen very soon. The original version of the film, Matando Cabos, from 2004 will also be available on this platform.

“We are very happy with this agreement that we just closed last Friday because Matando Cabos was the movie that has put us in the spotlight, the one that has made us what we are, and of which they are still talking about and mentioning on social networks. The first version featured Joaquín Cosío. And this second part that we did is a great, spectacular, and very funny film, and it was directed by Alejandro Lozano, the same director of the original version,” said Rovzar.

Matando Cabos 2 is a spin-off about the main character, a retired fighter who constantly solves problems: Mascarita, played by Joaquín Cosío, in a story that, according to Rovzar, has many surprises. “We took great care that this story could be seen without having to watch the original film as a reference. But whoever saw the first movie will understand many things and find many answers, such as why Mascarita is so annoyed by being called that way. It means understanding his present based on his past, with a father who is also a fighter,” he commented.

Rovzar is very pleased that the original film can also be seen on Amazon Prime, because, although it was very successful in Mexico, this would be a world premiere and the opportunity for many more people to know about its content.

Among other projects, Rovzar reported that Lemon Studios has already finished filming Control Z 2 and La Venganza de las Juanas for Netflix.
