(Maribel Ramos-Weiner, Chicago). In six weeks mun2 will premiere a new original series about paranormal activity. It will be named From beyond and will air Sunday nights.“We believe Latinos are strongly drawn to the subject of the paranormal and we will now see a show made with Latinos,” said to PRODU Diana Mogollón, General Manager of mun2.The show features a medium, and expert on paranormal activity, and a host. “It’s a format people know well but with a Latino twist. It is independently produced, but is developed internally by mun2. Locations are mostly around Los Angeles, and all cases are about Latino families or businesses,” she added.Mogollón said the channel’s upfront season has yielded positive results, with lots of support from advertisers.“RPM Miami will come back for a second season. We are already developing the scripts. RPM was a new genre for us but we worked with Telemundo Studios, which has lots of experience with scripted shows, novelas and series. We’ve done well and advertisers are pleased with all the product integration opportunities, not just on-air but also online. Valvoline is an example of integration on both platforms from the beginning,” added Mogollón.Regarding what is being done to offer TV Everywhere, Mogollón said that, just like all other programmers, they are exploring how to monetize it and measure it. “To be able to know its value it has to be measured well, and that’s what all the groups within NBCUniversal are trying to do. It changes daily and everyday we explore ways of doing it better,” she said.
