Olympusat Telecom chooses Comcast Business Class Ethernet for the transfer of bandwidth-intensive video content

2 de noviembre de 2012

Olympusat Telecom, Olympusat’s Telecom business division, has chosen Comcast Business Class Ethernet as its service to expedite the transfer of bandwidth-intensive video content and to support digital production services and back office operations. The division provides media companies with end-to-end video solutions and video-centric enterprise customers in the United States and Latin America, including satellite uplink, master control, video transport, digital production and content delivery networks and services.Olympusat Telecom’s business focuses on managing and transferring large volumes of bandwidth-intensive video content, so it needed a high-capacity network connectivity like Comcast Business Class Ethernet for its new master control headquarters in West Palm Beach, Fla.“Over the past year, we have rapidly grown our customer base and moved our master control facilities to West Palm Beach, both of which necessitated our need for scalable bandwidth” said C. Austin Powers, president of Olympusat Telecom. “Additionally, our master control and creative services teams work 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and are constantly uploading and sending content to networks all over the world. With more customers than ever before, our existing circuits couldn’t support our growing bandwidth needs and were taking far too long to transfer data – and in our business, time is money.”
