Telemundo announces two new VP of Sales for its stations in LA and Chicago

Telemundo announced that Marty Sokoler and Diana Fernández have both been hired as Vice President of Sales for Telemundo Stations KVEA Los Angeles and WSNS Chicago, respectively. In this position, Sokoler and Fernández will lead all aspects of the sales strategy and operations at each local station, including local business development, local sales initiatives and sales promotions. They will develop strategic partnerships in each market and work closely with clients and advertising agencies in delivering the stations valuable audience to customers.“Marty and Diana are fantastic additions to our Los Angeles and Chicago stations. Each will play integral roles in continuing the development of Telemundo’s strong relationships with advertising partners in Los Angeles in Chicago, as well as with the larger community and the Telemundo audience in their respective cities,” said Ronald Gordon, President, Telemundo Station Group.Sokoler is a veteran media executive with expertise in driving revenue growth in local markets through operational excellence, new product entry, and high-performance team development in local markets. In the past, he held several positions managing sales teams of major accounts such as The Denver Post, in addition to serving as the Vice President and General Manager of Comcast Spotlight in Los Angeles as well as Vice President and General Manager of KVCW-TV in Las Vegas (formerly KUPN-TV). Fernández has spent over 20 years in broadcasting at both sides of the spectrum, from start-up independents to marketing leading affiliates including Univision, Fox, WFTV-ABC, WCIU, and WPWR. Her experience has included both local and national sales leadership roles.
