A shorter product, with more scenes and a lot of music, are some of the characteristics used by Ricardo Coeto, EVP of Production at Telemundo Studios, to describe the dramatic musical series Guerra de ídolos (75×60′), that had its debut on Monday, April 24 at 8pm on Telemundo.

“We feel very happy with the product. It is the first dramatic series we have. I think we are going to modify the offer we know have in schedule and mark the difference as we have done with most of the products we now have in Telemundo,” expressed the executive, who has been at Telemundo for a bit over a month.

For his part, Alberto Guerra, one of the series male stars, expressed: “We are doing something that hadn’t been done in Latin American TV, that is to show the musical industry as it is. We aren’t talking about a specific character or someone’s real life, we are talking about the constant struggle of so many artists, who have had to live and go through things no one knows to get to where they are now.”

María León, singer that debuts as star in the series, said it was a great experience. “That Telemundo risked giving me the opportunity to star in such an important project fills me with gratitude and affection.”

Andrés Saavedra, Musical Producer, together with the composers Édgar Barrera and Joel Enrique, wrote 16 of the series´ original songs. They explained that they developed songs in many formats and genres, from rancheras to urban music, pop. “It is a very big spectrum and we hope you enjoy it,” added Enrique.
